THE STORY
The old online store was a bolt-on. It sat inside the website but wasn't really part of it, it looked different, and it came with its own monthly bill whether anything sold or not.
So I rebuilt the site around real photos of the shop and built the online store into it properly. The whole range is on it, with filters that work on a phone, product pages, a cart and card payments through Stripe. There's no monthly store fee any more, just Stripe's fee when something sells.
WHAT I DID
I redesigned the site as an image-led showcase for the clothing, souvenirs and giftware, and replaced the old embedded store with a shop built into the site that takes card payments through Stripe Checkout. Behind it is a password-protected dashboard that works on a phone, so the shop can add a product with a photo taken on the spot, change a price or take something down on their own. The enquiry form goes straight to the shop's inbox, and every page is pre-rendered so search engines can read it.
